Our story
Skautik was founded in 2024 in Amsterdam by a small team of engineers and real estate enthusiasts who believed property search could be fundamentally better.
The founders — Viktor Lindberg, a former product manager at a major property portal, and Amara Osei, an AI/ML engineer — met while both struggling to find apartments in a new city. They realized property search was broken: too many filters, too little understanding.
Every existing platform asked the same rigid questions: how many bedrooms? What's your budget? Which neighborhood? But nobody asked the questions that actually matter — do you want morning light? A neighborhood that feels alive? A place where you can hear the rain?
So they built Skautik — a platform that listens to what you actually want. Not just bedrooms and square meters, but the feeling of a place, the rhythm of a neighborhood, the way light falls through a window.
Why we're building this
Real estate is personal. The tools should be too.
Finding a home is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make. Yet the tools we use to make that decision haven't changed in decades — dropdown filters, endless pagination, and listings that all look the same. We think you deserve better.
